She was South Africa’s first ever female director in the Out Of Home industry and built her own very successful media owner business that specialising in airports. Many years of executive level and entrepreneurial start-up experience taught Suzanne that the greatest risk within any business resides not with its IT, nor its systems, processes, procedures, products etc., but with its people. Suzanne is trained as an ICF accredited life and business coach as well as a Thinking Into Results corporate programme facilitator. She makes it her business to remind the C-suite executives and top-brass that whilst they might know a lot about their business, they in fact know nothing about the people in their employ. This statement shocks them to their core, but, when they think deeply about it, they discover that this is in fact the truth! Apart from what is in an employee’s curriculum vitae, what they have on record character reference wise and how the individual is perceived ‘to be’ at work, they know absolutely nothing about what really makes the person tick. That is why most employee personal development plans (PDPs) are a complete waste of time, because at work the staff member is wearing a mask to disguise who they are and frankly, the company could not care less as long as they do their job. Developing an accurate predictive model to plot and understand a person’s life path experiences was Suzanne’s idea, because this way companies can really get to understand who they have on-board, strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat wise!
